Japan feels like another planet 🇯🇵 🌏✨
(This will 100% inspire the way you write global emails.)
I LOVE Japan. It’s a beautiful country.
And not just because of the food (delicious, by the way!) or the technology…
They have a sense of social responsibility that I truly admire.
Before my trip, I did some research to know more about their culture.
Here are a few interesting facts about Japan:
🌸 Relationships come first.
What Japanese people value most is relationships and trust-building.
Showing respect is fundamental—not just in business, but in everyday life.
🌸 High-context communication.
A lot is said without being said. You’re expected to read between the lines.
For example, silence doesn’t always mean agreement. They might not say anything just to avoid offending you.
🌸 Indirect is polite.
What sounds confident and clear in English might come across as blunt or even rude in Japan.
So, what does this teach us as professionals writing emails in English?
💡Learn about your audience’s culture and communication style.
💡 Emailing is not just about clarity—it’s about trust.
đź’ˇ Awareness about cultural nuances is the first step. Adaptation is the goal.
P.S. Japanese streets are spotless. Even busy places like Tokyo.
You’ll rarely find public bins, yet there’s no litter.
Why? Because people take their trash home. That’s how strong their sense of social responsibility is.
