This one line kills your replies… “Please let me know if you have any questions.”
It’s polite.
It’s common.
But in some situations… it’s just not enough.
When I see this at the end of an email, it often feels like:
“Here’s everything. I’m done. Unless you ask me something.”
And I’m left wondering: What would I even ask?
That phrase falls flat when:
→ The topic is complex
→ You’re expecting important feedback
→ Or the message is high-stakes
In those cases, it puts all the pressure on the reader to figure out what to ask.
Which usually means… they don’t reply at all.
So what’s better?
Use closings that guide the response or clearly show what you need next.

Now I’m curious: Do you actually reply when someone ends an email with that phrase?
